Listening Mothers

Below are the requirements for becoming a Listening Mothers Facilitator.

Introductory meeting with the Clinical Director of Listening Mothers and the Marketing Director.

Attending a year long Baby Observation program that requires observation once a week for one hour plus one and a half hours once a week in a consult group over the first year of a baby’s life.

Attending a class at Northwest Family Development Center titled: Working Analytically.  These are six sessions each lasting one and a half hours and are offered once a year. 

After completing the above requirements there is a three hour orientation with the Clinical Director of Listening Mothers to go over the curriculum and other topics.

Auditing one full series of Listening Mothers sessions with an experienced Listening Mothers Facilitator.  You will be placed in the next available upcoming session that is convenient as far as time and place.

Facilitators get paid independently by the group participants. 

The Community of Mindful Parents www.mindfulparentscommunity.com provides marketing tools to advertise and fill individual sessions as well as administer the registration of the participants.

All Facilitators of Listening Mothers and Reflective Parents meet quarterly to discuss logistical issues as well as professional support.
